The tech says “compressor's shot on RTU 3, suction's at 58, head pressure 310, unit's iced up again, I've got the model and serial” — and Wingman fills a dozen steps at once, each through the exact validation a typed answer would get. No form. No order to learn. No hunting for the right field.

What it owes but hasn't got — the photo of the blower motor, the serial plate — it tracks as a debt, and the job cannot close until it is cleared. Signatures always pop a real screen. Wingman is a very fast typist, never a second person doing the job.

Yes — you can defer the photos.

That sentence makes software people wince. Ask anyone who has spent a day on a roof and they will tell you it is the only honest way to build this. You cannot photograph a nameplate with a gauge set in one hand and a meter in the other. You cannot stop mid-braze to satisfy step 7. So the job does not stop. It remembers.

Every outstanding capture becomes a tracked debt the tech can hear at any time — and the run cannot be finished while one is open. Defer it to the tailgate, the truck, the drive back. When the job closes, everything has been collected. Nothing was skipped; the order was just yours instead of ours.

The tech picks the path. Not some prescriptive workflow.

Real work does not run top to bottom. You are outside at the condenser, so you do the outside. You get inside and the tenant is on a call, so you do the panel first and come back. Every other tool makes that a fight — back arrows, skipped steps, a form written by someone who has never been on that roof.
